Meet Chivers, the second bear in our new Pieces of Eight Collection. He is 4" tall and like Black Bart, is named after a Pirate, in this case Dirk Chivers. This pirate was active in Red Sea and Indian Ocean towards the end of the 17th century. Chivers is made of short, velvety soft deep black German mohair, short white Hembold mohair which we have used for his head, whilst his body is made of eight pieces of lovely hand dyed mohair in shades of lemon and blue which has been stitched together in the Harlequin style. He has a blue stitched nose highlighted with black thread, shiny black English glass eyes and a black belly button. We have filled him with steel shot so he has a good weight for his size, his pads and paws are made of luxurious black cashmere and as you can see, he has a lovely face. I do hope that you like him, we are really pleased with this new collection and will be making bears in the Pieces of Eight style in different sizes. Chivers costs £42 plus postage.
Please note that as with all our bears, Chivers is not a toy and is not suitable for children.
