Doric is named as part of our Peoples and Languages Collection, he is a sweet little bear 3 1/2" tall and made in gorgeous shades of turquoise. The fur used for his ears, arms, legs and back is rare English mohair, most of the mills that made this have gone now, I think there is just one left. It is backed in a lovely shade of deep turquoise and the pile is paler, quite sparse and tufted, scruffy. With this we have used for his head and tummy beige backed, turquoise tipped South African mohair which is quite matted and scruffy in texture, the two look good together. He has turquoise ultrasuede pads and paws, a dark turquoise stitched nose and smile and shiny black German glass eyes. We have filled him with steel shot to give him a nice weight, I do hope that you like him, he costs £39 plus postage.
